MAMADOU MBAYE

Mamadou Mbaye, senior legal counsel is specialized in competition law, land and real estate law, insurance law, new technologies and intellectual property law.

Mamadou Mbaye worked in companies before being entrusted with the international client portfolio of Mame Adama Gueye & Associés, managing all cases related to multinationals and international firms.

He holds a Master’s degree in Private Law, option Business Law, and a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar. He also holds a Certificate in English Language from the English Language Program and a Diploma in French/English Translation from African Centre for Higher Studies in Management.

He has been a legal advisor since 1994 and has 27 years of practice, 25 of which were with Mame Adama Gueye & Associés.

Since 2005, Mamadou Mbaye has been a member of the World Bank’s “Doing Business” expert group and has actively participated in most of the business law reforms proposed by the institution.

He is also one of the two experts for Senegal in the Aviation Working Group (AWG), the Justice Initiative and other specialized watchdog bodies.

Mamadou Mbaye has worked as a legal advisor for the local subsidiaries of Philip Morris International in relation with the lawyers of the West and Central African entities.

He is permanently involved in all matters related to business law, both in the field of advice and litigation.
